June Training Week
In June, our ENGAGE team in Nepal conducted another successful training week at our Bible institute in Ghorai, Western Nepal. Our Nepali coordinator Jiwan taught the five-day course together with the local regional coordinator of Campus Crusade for Christ.
Together, they taught: Introduction to the Gospel of Matthew, First Corinthians, Genesis and Practical Evangelism.
Our first training week for 2014 was held in March. Blake Cannon, ENGAGE Mission Coordinator, spent the week in Nepal, teaching Practical Church Planting, Mission, Old and New Testament Theology, and Introduction to the Gospel of Mark. These same students returned for the June session and will plan for two more training weeks this year, in September and December.
Our training weeks are the backbone of the work we are doing in Nepal. From the 16 students currently being trained, we will eventually select those who demonstrate a clear gift for church-planting and will commission them to go to the unreached of Nepal – and possibly beyond Nepal into surrounding regions.
We are currently looking for those with theological training and pastoral experience to partner with us in this vital work. Please contact us if you are interested to know how you might participate in these training sessions.
